Last night I went to the 21st anniversary party for Modern Dog Design Company. We also celebrated the release of their book "Modern Dog: 20 Years of Poster Art". I had a great time, and caught up with a lot of old friends there. Modern Dog is an amazing Seattle design company, who has inspired me for years. Their punk-rock, yet refined, design style has been successfully applied to many big clients like Coke a Cola, the NBA, and Blue Q products. The 2 founders of Modern Dog: Mike Strassburger, and Robynne Raye teach design classes at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. They have been great mentors for me, and many others. In fact, it was during my internship at Modern dog that I decided to start my own business: Revival Ink Apparel. The 3rd member of Modern Dog, Rob Zweibel, was a classmate of mine from Cornish. By far, the friendliest, most humble, and talented designer you will ever meet. Together they make an amazing team, and keep the laughs coming for hours. For those of you not familiar with their work, visit
moderndog.com and I’m sure you will become a fan too. I highly recommend getting a copy of their poster book for your coffee table. The glossy prints will provide much conversation and visual interest for entertaining your guests. I promise.

Buy it on
Amazon for only $18.15 what a deal!
One of my favorite t-shirt printers is Slow Shirts, based right here in Washington. I have met the 2 artists who make the art, and hand print these shirts. They are very cool people, down to earth and friendly. I think they will be vending at the Seattle Fremont Sunday market with me when the weather gets warmer. The ski lift shirt below is one of my favorites. They are having a big sale right now in their
Etsy shop, with hoodies marked down to only $25! I recommend getting one before they’re gone.
Designgive Pre-Summer Sale. Sweet tees for cheaper than usual. Designgive is offering all products for 20% less. No codes needed discount will be applied automatically at checkout. This is one of my favorite shirts by them, very cool!
Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860 John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.
Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.
Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head
Now it gets really weird.
Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.
Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.
Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was s born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.
Now hang on to your seat.
Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford.'
Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and h is assassin ran and hid in a theater.
Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.
And here's the kicker...
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland A week before Kennedy was shot, and he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh?
